About Rewired Desire

What It Is:

Rewired Desire is a conference for young men on biblical sexuality, healthy relationships with others (with both guys and girls), our longing for intimacy, and living a life in worship of Jesus Christ in these areas where we all struggle.

2024 Special Guest Speaker:

Rev. Neil C. Stewart, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church

Dr. Neil C. Stewart is recently the senior minister of Frist Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina (2023-present). He also served previously as the senior minister at Christ Covenant Church (ARP) Greensboro, NC from 2016-2023 and pastor of Kirk O’ the Isles (PCA) in Savannah, Georgia for ten years. During his time at seminary and afterward, he pastored congregations of the Presbyterian Church in America in rural Mississippi. Neil holds a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Before moving to America in 1999, Neil worked as a pediatrician at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. He studied medicine at the Queens University of Belfast (1990-1995), where he received the Ulster Hospital gold medal in Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Pediatrics. He was elected a member of the pediatric branch of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998.

Neil has spoken at numerous conferences throughout the United States and Canada. Last fall he addressed the Blue Ridge Institute of Theological Education on the subject “Preaching to the Heart.” In addition, Neil has contributed to several books, including: On Reforming Worship; Surviving the Fish Bowl: Letters to Pastors’ Kids; Letters to Pastors’ Wives: When Seminary Ends and Ministry Begins. Recently, he was featured in a film by Les Lanphere, Spirit and Truth: How Does God Want to Be Worshiped? He is scheduled to appear in another upcoming documentary on the Trinity by the same producer.

Neil and his wife Catherine hail from Northern Ireland and have six children.
